Starting the season as the least known member of the "Dancing With the Stars" cast, J.R. Martinez endeared himself to America as the show progressed and on Tuesday night the 28-year-old soldier-turned-soap opera star took home the top prize.
J.R. Matinez partnered with professional dancer Karina Smirnoff both claimed the mirrorball trophy. Mr. Martinez was a soldier who was sent to Iraq war and accidentally the Humvee he was driving for US army truck struck a land mine and 40% of his body was burned and he undergo several reconstruction surgery. Now, he is also motivational speaker apart from being a soap opera star.
